You are the hope, Yes You!
While marvelling at how God intended humanity to rule over other creation, it saddens my heart to realize how the church is barely considered to be the hope of the world. From christians bearing an image of a people that is only concerned about spiritual matters to battling the fact that it might be true.
Today, I’m more convinced that You, yes You; and me are the hope of this world. At least as long as God is concerned, us Christians are bearers of the hope this world need!
Take your seat and let’s have some look on this truth…
Just think about it,
As a good mother hurries in emergency when her child is sick
Just think about it
As the river doesn’t stop in summer
Just think about it
As your belly demands meal with no cease
Just think about it
As a good father hustles to put bread on the table
Just think about it…
Because the urgency is real
Tomorrow holds mystery.
Just think about it
As if you were someone’s last hope to not jump from the rooftop
Just think about it
As if you were someone’s bible to read
Just think about it
As if your testimony is someone’s last chance to choose eternal life
Just think about it
As if your prayer is someone’s expectation to get out of the chasm
Just think about it…
Because the urgency is real
Tomorrow holds mystery.

Think about yourself as plan A, the only remaining vessel that can be used
Just sit and think
Think about the damage if you don’t respond to your calling
Just sit and think
Think about the generations that will have to wait
Just sit and think
Think about the people that will have to go through the same misery

The joy that comes with being used as a hero
Just sit and think
The reward that awaits on you for saving many
Just sit and think
The promises that go with quick obedience
Just sit and think
The happiness that comes with being used as the canal to free a whole bloodline

Because the urgency is real
And the next minute holds mystery…
It established ranking systems
Ranking who is able to do what and who is not
It made theories to stand on
Theories that sound logical
It has set boundaries
Boundaries of who is allowed to go where and who is not
It has structured standards
Standards of who is to approach who and who is not to approach who
The world has established a system
A system that is right only in the sight of human beings.
But,
He has chosen you to cure the broken system
He has appointed you to break rankings
He has set you apart to bring healing to the high authorities
He has anointed you to tear down broken standards
He has made you His so that you can be a vessel to redeem what is His
He has called you so that you can take His gospel to the nations.
There is something in you
Something that needs to serve others
Because a life lived for others is a life well lived
There is something in you
Something that the world is eagerly waiting on
There is one that is greater in you.
Lucky enough, He did not leave us alone
He left us with His spirit, the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit that holds every tiny tool we need
The Holy Spirit that can be all in all
The Holy Spirit that waits on us to recognize His voice
The Holy Spirit that waits on us to make it a habit to ask Him to fill us
To fill us to overflow
Lucky enough, we have all that we will ever need…
