It is not yours, to begin with!
It is mind-blowing to see how the worldly system dictates that the money we make or will make is ours. I am thrilled to share with you great lessons I am learning about managing finances and people God’s way, so take on your seat and learn with me!
Have you noticed why this best life holds heartaches?
My belief is that all is hanged on surrender
My belief is that it’s because surrender goes against human nature
Because surrender is the only way to following Jesus
Because surrender is the only way to rulership
Have you understood the full weight behind surrender?
My belief about it stands in the context of giving up all
Giving up all that you are
Giving up all that you have
Giving up all that you aspire to be
And giving it back to the real owner
And accepting to completely let go of control
My belief about surrender stands for accepting you own nothing
Accepting that even though who you are was to be torn apart
Accepting that even though what you have was to be lost
Accepting that even though who you aspire to be would never come to pass
Accepting that even though your loved ones were to pass away
Accepting that even though all that define your life was to be set upside down,
Your desires, dreams, ambitions, …
You would still follow Jesus and serve Him faithfully
Surrender to me looks like the story of Job in the bible
And I pray for us to have such a surrendered life every day
Because every day, there is at least one thing we fail to let go of control
Because every day, there is at least one thing we think we own
Or maybe one person, well people
Because every day when I personally think of accepting that my loved ones are not mine in the first place
I find myself holding onto them even tightly…
Surrender looks more like a child releasing painfully her/his last chocolate
Surrender looks more like a mother forgiving unwillingly the abuser of his son
Surrender looks more like a father giving up justice for her daughter sentenced unfairly
Surrender looks more like an athlete accepting to run with one leg after a crazy car accident
Surrender looks more like giving back what was not yours
But what has become so familiar to you that you thought it was yours
My belief is that surrender is bitter but worth it…
