A life well lived is a life lived for others

How do you dare to lie to me? How are you this late? Why do you ask a lot of questions, don’t you already know? Thrice, the same error? You don’t even apologize, how heartless are you!

Have been told such words by someone who has authority over you? I guess yes.

As promised in my previous blog, we are going to go through another aspect of leadership, Discipleship. Sit with me and let’s sip on some truths.

Ahead of the fear

Despair

Shame

Guilt

Anxiety

And what have you,

Comes the battle against what would make you hold to your own strength.

This is not yours to fight

This is not yours to carry

He said at the cross, “It is finished”

So was the price of sin being paid

So was the pain of death finished

So was the judgment of sin served

So was the power and authority released.

Your superpower is believing in what has been done

Salvation

As well as authority

Forgiveness of sins

As well as power of self-control

Breaking chains

As well as power to demolish strongholds

Eternal life

As well as life in abundance.

What you should battle is lack of faith

Lack of faith that these things have been done just for you

What you should battle is the misconception of salvation

That salvation makes trials and tribulations flee

For salvation holds you tight when they come

What you should battle is believing that love prevents pain

For love makes you swim in pain.

What you should battle is disobedience

Disobedience that makes you put your will before His

For obedience is your way to communicate your love for Him

And obedience saves you from yourself

What you should battle is walking alone

Because he who is in the world prowls like a lion, looking for someone to devour

And lions devour isolated preys

What you should battle is offense

Offense that gives birth to pride

Pride that makes you believe you are better than the offenders.

What you should is more of what is in the world…
